Languages
QuantEcon's lectures have editions in five languages. This page lists each edition with its English series, its website and its phase, and links to its language page where there is one.
Editions
An edition is a translated copy of one English lecture series. Each edition has its own repository on GitHub and its own website.

Phases
- Initial translation
- Lectures are drafted and reviewed one at a time, and each review improves the engine before the next lecture is drafted. The edition's website, once it is published, shows the lectures merged so far. See How a review round works.
- Published
- The edition's website is live, and changes to the English lectures reach the edition as sync pull requests. See Sync reviews.
The French edition is published, and review of its machine translation is under way. A proposal to review each remaining French lecture as a fresh draft, one at a time, is open on lecture-python-programming.fr#82.
How an edition is built explains the two phases.
English series
Each edition translates one of three English series. Each series has a source repository, and its editions follow it.
| English series | Source repository | Website | Editions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Python Programming for Economics and Finance | QuantEcon/lecture-python-programming | python-programming.quantecon.org | Japanese, Malayalam, French, Simplified Chinese, Persian |
| A First Course in Quantitative Economics with Python | QuantEcon/lecture-python-intro | intro.quantecon.org | Simplified Chinese |
| Intermediate Quantitative Economics with Python | QuantEcon/lecture-python.myst | python.quantecon.org | Simplified Chinese |
A mistake in the English is corrected in the source repository, so that every edition receives the correction. See Errors in the English.
Language pages
A language page holds what applies to one language only: who reviews, the term policy, the house style, the open questions and a log of rulings. Keep yours open while you review.
Pages for French, Simplified Chinese and Persian are to come. Until then, raise questions about those editions in the edition's repository. See Communication.
